Dr Downs is a consultant specialist anaesthetist who graduated in Medicine from UNSW with the highest distinction, the University Medal. Dr Downs was awarded the Renton and Cecil Gray prizes for the best performance in Australasia for both the Primary and Fellowship examinations of the A&NZ College of Anaesthetists.
